Hello, I am Julie. I have been practicing Mindfulness meditation for many years. I have found it very beneficial in my own life, especially when going through challenging times.
Some years ago, I attended the 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course which inspired me and from there began to share my practice with others.
I am a certified Youth Mindfulness teacher - trained to deliver the Adult, Teen (SOMA) and Kids programmes, and as a coach and qualified teacher I love helping people to transform their lives.
I hold a first class (hons) degree in Social Science, majoring in Psychology.
I hold a Post Graduate Certificate in psychology and special educational needs and have 25 years teaching experience.
I have gained a distinction in a Post Graduate Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring.
I am a certified teacher with Youth Mindfulness.
I am a trained Acceptance and Commitment Therapist. (ACT)
I am a member of The British Psychological Society.
I am a graduate of the Youth Mindfulness Kids, Teens (SOMA) and Adult programmes.
I am a member of the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science. ACBS.
I commit to continuing professional development courses each year to stay up to date in teaching and learning, coaching and mindfulness meditation.
I am passionate about how people learn, and especially enjoy helping others to enhance their own well-being, through meditation and life long learning.
I love singing and amateur dramatics.
I enjoy time with my family and adventures with our rescue dog who is cross eyed and very needy!
